MarioTV : Episode 3 : Fight Club

Super was sort of the epitomy of Tyler Durden (or at least that's what he always wished for, haha.) I wish I could find pictures from a six or seven years ago, when he went out on Halloween wearing the Tyler Durden jacket. When he got home that night the jacket had been torn down the side - if I recall correctly, scaling a chainlink fence will do that to you. Some Super shenanigans for 'ya.

Although not definitive, Fight Club was probably Super's favorite movie. It was in his top 3 for sure. One of the things that really cemented our friendship was the fact that he and I could always pick up on movie quotes we threw at each other. If I had a buck for every time we quoted Fight Club I'd have someone else blogging for me right now. So many great (dirty) quotes came from that movie. Oh dude, it's ridiculous. "Now a question of etiquette, as I pass do I give you the ass or the crotch?" We quoted it on a daily basis for 8 years. I know, how unoriginal of us. For shame!

I do plan on editting my own Fight Club clips at some point and uploading them to Mario's Youtube so we can view them here. For now, take a listen to the 8 Rules of Fight Club. Once you've heard them check out the speech Tyler Durden gives to his space monkeys. This will do wonders for any cubicle-types out there stuck in their pods for the rest of the week. Wait, I'm one of those cubicle-types kind of.

Next time I post about Fight Club I'll throw Ikea in the basement too. Should be fun. Fight Club taught me a certain level of animosity towards Ikea before I'd even been to one. Little did I know that it was right all along!
